Companion Animal and Pet Ceremonies

Companion Animal and Pet Ceremonies

Every ceremony I create is built around people, not templates.

The bond between people and their animals is often one of the most meaningful relationships in life. A pet ceremony is a way of recognising that love, saying goodbye, and creating a moment of reflection, gratitude and remembrance.

What can be included?

  • Personal storytelling and reflection
  • Readings, music or poetry
  • Contributions from family, friends or chosen family
  • Symbolic rituals
  • Moments of remembrance, gratitude or release
  • A bespoke ceremony script created for your approval

Ceremonies created around real lives

I work with people whose stories are traditional, non-traditional, and everything in between. My approach is rooted in the belief that ceremonies should reflect people as they are, not how they are expected to be.

  • Dog farewell ceremonies
  • Cat memorial or celebration of life ceremonies
  • Horse or equine tributes
  • Small animal or exotic pet ceremonies
  • Home-based or garden remembrance ceremonies
  • Ceremonies for working animals or assistance animals
  • Family-led pet memorial gatherings

You do not need to justify your story. You just need a ceremony that reflects it.

The process

We will begin with an informal conversation about your plans and ideas. From there I will get to know your story and the people who matter most. I will write a bespoke ceremony script for your approval and we will refine it together until it feels exactly right.

On the day itself, my role is simple: to help create a memorable, relaxed and meaningful ceremony that allows you and your guests to focus on the moment.

Let’s create something personal

If you are looking for a ceremony that reflects your life rather than a template, I would love to hear your story.
