Funerals and Life Celebrations

Every ceremony I create is built around people, not templates.
Every life deserves to be remembered in a way that feels honest, meaningful and true to the person it honours. A funeral or celebration of life ceremony is about reflecting a life, telling a story, and creating a moment where people can remember, grieve and celebrate together.
What can be included?
- Personal storytelling and reflection
- Readings, music or poetry
- Contributions from family, friends or chosen family
- Symbolic rituals
- Moments of remembrance, gratitude or release
- A bespoke ceremony script created for your approval
Ceremonies created around real lives
I work with people whose stories are traditional, non-traditional, and everything in between. My approach is rooted in the belief that ceremonies should reflect people as they are, not how they are expected to be.
- Celebrations of life instead of traditional funerals
- LGBTQ+ inclusive funeral ceremonies
- Chosen family or community-led remembrance
- Humanist or non-religious services
- Blended or complex family structures
- Young life or unexpected loss ceremonies
- Services that reflect identity, values and lived experience
You do not need to justify your story. You just need a ceremony that reflects it.
The process
We will begin with an informal conversation about your plans and ideas. From there I will get to know your story and the people who matter most. I will write a bespoke ceremony script for your approval and we will refine it together until it feels exactly right.
On the day itself, my role is simple: to help create a memorable, relaxed and meaningful ceremony that allows you and your guests to focus on the moment.
Let’s create something personal
If you are looking for a ceremony that reflects your life rather than a template, I would love to hear your story.
